Death Cab's latest single. I'm very much looking forward to Narrow Stairs.

For all the build-up and layering of instruments, it's a fairly minimalistic song. I especially like the loose sound of the drums--that is, the sound hasn't been over-engineered to produce crisp but uninteresting notes (compare this to say, something by Yellowcard, for an example). This drum track has texture and character, like a fine wine . . . one that will be fully aged and drinkable on May 13, 2008.
My first DCFC. Yes, I was a virgin.
It won't be my last.
The sheer logistics of this video...the planning, editing, waiting for the right shots: mindblowing. Also, I feel bad for the band who did not get to go on, what I assume was, a kickass world journey for this filming. Until I realize they can go on world tours.
I'm so glad she finally smiled!! That made me happy. Contrasting those isolating and claustrophobic closeups of her with the amazing vistas and then the entirely separate band performance is such great visual layering. And after going across all the continents she comes to the end of the world.... so perfect... But could you drummer/scientists explain to me why there was water on the drum set and why it showed no tendency at all to freeze?
