For those of you who don't know, I've been friends with Chris and Scott since high school. Scott and I went to college together and were even roommates our senior year. After scattering across the country in pursuit of graduate education, the three of us still remain incredibly close and crash on each other's couches from time to time.
I started following music in general around the 5th grade, when grunge was huge and everyone owned a copy of Green Day's "Dookie". Back in the day I listened to a lot of Nirvana, Toadies, Garbage, Bush, and Sponge. Since then my taste in music has grown and I've come to love all kinds of music (as I'm sure my list of favorites will let you know).
All-Time Favorites: At the Drive-In, Jimmy Eat World, American Analog Set, ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead, Pete Yorn, The Roots, Explosions in the Sky, Mars Volta, Kanye West, Taking Back Sunday, Lucero, Stars, Queens of the Stone Age, Of Montreal, Foo Fighters, Kevin Devine, Common, The Get Up Kids, DJ Shadow, Caribou, Desaparecidos, and more that don't come to mind right now.
I'll give anything new a chance and will listen to the whole CD, front to back, even if the first 9 of 10 tracks suck. You never know when you'll find a gem of a song.
